Victor Trevino
Company Director
Ballet Eloelle
Mr. Trevino experimented with ballet classes at the University of Florida before he began studying dance seriously under Marie Hale. Ms. Hale transitioned her community troupe into the fully professional Ballet Florida and Mr. Trevino was one of the original members. He performed several notable roles including the lead in Lou Conte’s “The 40’s” and in Vicente Nebrada’s male duet “Gemini.” In 1986 he joined Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. He continued his studies under many of the world’s leading ballet teachers including David Howard, Wilhelm Burman, and Nancy Bielski.
Victor's extensive career as a Ballerina includes most of the great female leads. Besides doing most of the classical principal roles in the repertoire, Lori Belilove (Isadora Duncan Dance Company) created a critically acclaimed work on Victor called “The many faces of Love,” and Anne Marie D’Angelo chose him for the principal role for her ballet “in Kazmidity.” Another career highlight for Mr. Trevino was a performance of “The Black Swan Pas De Duex” with Julio Bocca in Argentina. He was invited to choreograph and set works on the company and created the “Romeo and Juliet Balcony Pas De Duex,” and “The Petite Nutcracker suite.”
In 1996 Kiyouichi Miyazaki, a Japanese producer, invited Mr. Trevino to create his own all male comedic dance company. Les Ballets Grandiva was featured in the New York Times, Dance Magazine and Pointe Magazine. The Diva’s became the top touring ballet company in Japan. Memorable highlights include a joint television performance with ABT for Japanese television, an invitation from Roland Petite to coach Victor in the role of Carmen, and guest appearances in Grandiva’s 10th anniversary performance in New York City by Wendy Whelan and Nicolai Hubbe in their world premiere of Peter Anastos’ “Nightcrawlers.”
In 2009 Mr. Trevino stepped away from Grandiva to attend to family. In 2011 he was offered an opportunity to create ballet Eloelle (LOL) and tour Australia and New Zealand for 6 months. Eloelle’s successful international touring led to Les Ballets Grandiva and Ballet Eloelle merging under his direction. Trevino has a large body of comedic choreographic works that he has created that continues to delight audiences.
Beginning in 1995 Mr. Trevino began working with The New England Ballet and served as resident choreographer and Artistic Director for this community-based troupe. While there, he created many works for children including “The Nutcracker” which became a holiday staple for the community for over 25 years. In 2010 he became the performance coordinator and liaison for Palm Beach Atlantic University's dance department as well as an adjunct professor. He has been working as Artistic Director for Males on Pointe in Mexico where he has provided male dancers the opportunity to perform his works. He is also proud to say he returned to college and completed his BAS in Supervision and Management at Palm Beach State University.
