Giorgia Mangiafesta

I started acting at the age of fourteen in 1988 at the Teatro dei Satiri and since then the theatrical experience has become part of my life; The interest in the personal dynamics necessary for the creation of a character led me to the choice of studying psychology. After graduating in 1998, I moved to New York where I studied for five years at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and where, at the same time, I had many theatrical experiences. Back in Italy in 2004, I was Beatrice Bracco's assistant for many years in her "Blue Theater". The meeting with her was very important both from a human and a professional point of view, because it led me to mature the choice to go beyond the work on the character, also dedicating myself to what leads to the complete staging of a scene. This teaching path, born thanks to her in 2009, continued until 2018 in her Academy, the year in which I also taught at Claudia Gerini's Academy. In 2015 I wanted to give an even stronger development to my role as a teacher by founding an association, "Acting Lab", a study laboratory in which to work on the training of actors. In 2017 I started directing theatrical performances with "Quella notte degli strani atti" and in 2018 with "Che disagio".
